The delegation led by the rector of the institute visited the Latvian University of Natural Sciences and Technologies (LTFTU) and held a meeting with the management of the partner university.
During the meeting, important documents were signed between the two higher education institutions, and it was agreed that work will be carried out in the following priority areas of cooperation:
effective organization of joint education programs starting from the 2023-2024 academic year (admission processes have begun);
Organization of joint international scientific conferences on the basis of TKTI;
TKTI young scientists, researchers, and doctoral students publish articles with privilege in scientific journals included in LTFTU Scopus.
Also, TKTI and LTFTU won the project of the German Cooperation Organization (GIZ) aimed at increasing the capacity of teachers teaching in the field of food in Central Asia. Within the framework of this project, professors and teachers of TKTI will have the opportunity to improve their skills and take internships at a partner university.
In the second part of the visit, the members of the delegation got acquainted with the activity of educational halls and scientific laboratories of LTFTU.
In cooperation with the Department of Wood Processing of LTFTU and the Department of Cellulose and Woodworking of TKTI, a negotiation was conducted on the organization of a testing laboratory according to the European standard. In the next stage, the responsible personnel are expected to exchange experience.
