The Department of Higher Mathematics of the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute has been operating since the establishment of the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute in 1991. In accordance with the degree of the President of Uzbekistan in May 6,UP-203. , in 1991. In subsequent years, a number of potential mathematicians of our country conducted their work in the department: in 1991-1992. prof. Sh. Narimov, Assoc., in 1992-1993 N. Rakhimova, associate professor in 1993-1995. Zh. Ibodov, associate professor in 1995-1996 Abdunazarov S., associate professor in 1996-2001 U. Rakhmanov, Associate Professor in 2001-2002 O. Matchonov, associate professor in 2002-2004 D. Rakhimov, associate professor in 2004-2007 R. Maksudov, professor again in 2007-2011 Sh. Narimov. From 2011 to July 2017 Assoc. Iskanadzhiev, Until September 2017-2022, Prof. I.I. Safarov, and from September 2022 until now, Ph.D. B. Z. Nuriddinov is the head of the department. Currently, the department has 1 doctor of physics and mathematics, 5 professors, a candidate of physics and mathematics, a PhD (associate professor), 1 senior teacher, and 2 assistants. The teachers of the department conduct lectures, and practical and independent training for students in "Higher mathematics", "Mathematics 1.2", "Applied mathematics" and "Probability theory".
At the Department of Higher Mathematics, professors and teachers in different periods gave students deep knowledge and created the basis for their mastery of general technical and special subjects. Among the experienced teachers who have worked at the department for many years are prof. Sh.Narimov, prof. I. Iskanadzhiev.
Since the establishment of the Department of Higher Mathematics, great importance has been attached to educational, methodological and research work. Head of the Department Professor I.I. Safarov, in order to increase the practical significance of the results of scientific research in the field of mathematics, a phD program was opened at our department to train highly qualified specialists.
An inter-university seminar was organized at our department, dedicated to topical problems of mathematics and mechanics with the participation of highly qualified scientists.
• The department established scientific relations with the Institutes of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National University of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent State Technical University, the Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology. At the same time, the department established scientific relations with Moscow State University, Moscow Aviation Institute, Buffalo State University in New York, and Cornell University.
• The department cooperates with the Kazakh-Turkish International University. We have scientific cooperation with Professor of the Department of Mathematics of the University Abdurahim Mustafoevich Marasulov and Academician Anorboy Khudoykulov.
• To train highly educated scientific personnel in mathematics, scientific consulting is carried out for young people from other regions of our country.
Professors and teachers of the department published about 200 scientific articles, and more than 50 manuals. Professor I.I. Safarov, professor Sh. Narimov, under the guidance of Professor I. Iskanadzhiev at the Department of Higher Mathematics, research is being carried out in various scientific areas.
The department is working with professors-teachers to translate and print teaching aids into the Latin alphabet, to create teaching aids using new informational technologies (Maple, Matlab).
