In 1991, the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-203 and was assigned to provide mature personnel for the development of the chemical, food, and oil and gas processing industries. On May 6, 1991, a Faculty of "Organic Substances Production Technology" was established as part of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology. And now it is called the Faculty of "Chemical Technology of Fuel and Organic Compounds".
The faculty has the following departments:

- « Basic organic synthesis technology »
- « Cellulose and woodworking technology »
- « Physics and electrical engineering »
Aim
At the same time, the faculty plans to use modern methods and technologies in the training of qualified personnel by organizing directions that are becoming relevant in the chemical industry, in particular, such as green economy.
