In accordance with the regulations approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 149 dated March 14, 2025, educational grants will now also be provided based on the “Social Activity Index”!
What is the “Social Activity Index”? This index is evaluated on a 100-point system based on your spiritual and educational, sports, social and community participation in a higher educational institution.
How is the assessment carried out?
Each student is assessed based on the following specific criteria:
Literary culture - by reading recommended literature and taking a test (up to 20 points)
Participation in clubs on 5 important initiatives - active participation or organization of a club (up to 20 points)
Academic achievement (GPA) - automatic assessment (up to 10 points)
Adherence to the internal order and code of conduct - based on the tutor's conclusion (up to 5 points)
Results of competitions, olympiads, sports competitions - based on a certificate or diploma (up to 10 points)
Full and timely attendance at classes - based on attendance (up to 5 points)
Participation and activity in "Enlightenment classes" - based on the assessment of special staff (up to 10 points)
Volunteering and community service - based on the assessment of the tutor or deputy dean (up to 5 points)
Visits to museums, theaters, historical sites - confirmed by photo, geolocation (up to 5 points)
Sports and a healthy lifestyle - sports club membership and hygiene culture (up to 5 points)
Activity in social networks and initiative in spiritual and educational events (up to 5 points)
PLEASE NOTE:
– GPA must be above 3.5.
– Assessment will be completed by July 25.
– Students who have been subject to disciplinary action may lose up to 15 points from their index.
When receiving a scholarship, not only grades are now important - activity is also important!

On May 16 of this year, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed Order No. 186 “On the introduction of the “Social Activity Index” of students in higher education institutions”.
The first criterion of this “Social Activity Index” is “Literary Culture”, which determines the assessment of students on a maximum of 20 points out of 100 test questions.
