A chess competition was held on the occasion of June 1 - International Children's Day.

On May 30, 2025, the Special Emergency and Recovery Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the SmartChess club under the New Generation, held a chess competition on the occasion of June 1 - International Children's Day.

It was attended by Sherzod Olimov, Head of the Department for the Development of Mass Sports of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel Otabek Kozakov, Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Professor Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, Head of the SmartChess club, honorary graduate of our institute Izzatbek Khidirov and other officials.

Children aged 5 to 12 years old competed in Chess in the competition. At the end of the competition, the rector of our institute, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, took the floor and congratulated all participants, wishing them continued high results on the world stage.

The young people who took honorary places according to the final results of the competition were ceremoniously awarded with souvenirs and a cup.

Also, the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, was awarded a certificate of gratitude for the effective practical cooperation of the Special Emergency and Recovery Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for his contribution to the support and development of youth sports, and for promoting a healthy lifestyle in our country.
