On June 22-25, the final conference of the PECA V international project of the GIZ international organization is being held in Bishkek.

This prestigious event is attended by Konstantin Zelenty, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kyrgyzstan, Viktor Wesel, GIZ representative for Central Asia, and representatives of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The conference was attended by Z.A. Babakhanova, Head of the Department of Internationalization and Transformation of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, G.Sh. Aripova, Advisor to the Rector for Women's Affairs, G.Z. Dzhakhangirova, coordinator of the GIZ PECA project coordination group, GIZ Tandem and MEd project coordinator, and project coordinator for the projects on professional development of teachers for sustainable education in food technology in Central Asia and development of curricula for training new specialists in the region in partnership with the Latvian University of Natural Sciences and Technology, and on the technology for producing "Gluten Free" breadsticks (grissini) based on local plant raw materials.

The event presented the results of the PECA project, in particular its main achievements, including assistance in improving the regulatory framework, strengthening regional cooperation, and developing practical training programs and short-term courses that meet the labor market requirements in the food industry and logistics sector in the form of master classes.

On the first day of the conference, they visited the Kyrgyz State Technical University (QDTU) named after I. Razzokov, where participants got acquainted with the results of long-term cooperation between the university and the PECA project, and organized master classes on the production of dairy and bakery products.

On the second day, they visited Kompas College, a participant in the tandem partnership to support creative learning of the PECA project, and the Kara-Balta Technical and Economic College named after M.T. Ibragimov.
