“This is my green planet” – an eco-dictation competition was held among students at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology

On November 30, 2024, the Department of "Industrial Ecology" of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology organized a high-level eco-dictation competition on the topic "This is my green planet" among students of the Faculty of "Industrial Engineering and Management". The event was attended by the leadership of the faculty, leading experts in the field of ecology, professors and teachers, and active students.

This competition has gained great importance as one of the major initiatives aimed at forming an ecological culture among young people in our country, increasing their sense of love and responsibility for nature, protecting the environment, and developing innovative ideas on environmental sustainability. The competition also laid the foundation for the widespread promotion of the culture of rational use of natural resources among students.

At the beginning of the event, Farrukh Igitov, head of the Department of "Industrial Ecology", spoke and spoke about the importance of the competition. Noting that the formation of environmental responsibility is the duty of every citizen, he provided information about the systematic work being carried out in our country to preserve the purity of nature and introduce a "green" economy. In particular, at the meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on November 20, it was noted that the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to declare 2025 the "Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy" is an important strategy aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability in our country.

During the dictation process, students had the opportunity to deeply understand the important aspects of environmental protection. This event is of great importance in raising the environmental awareness of young people and encouraging them to take practical steps for a green future. Such projects create a great opportunity to develop environmental culture not only in educational institutions, but also in society as a whole.
