A new stage of cooperation in science and technology

On December 18, 2024, the leadership of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology received a delegation from the Shandong Academy of Sciences of the People's Republic of China and the Shandong Analysis and Testing Center.

The meeting was attended by the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations, Khairulla Pulatov, head of the Department of Internationalization and Transformation, Zebo Babakhanova, head of the Department of Enterprises and Industrial Sectors, Anvar Shernayev, head of the Department of Automation and Digital Management, Komil Usmonov, and head of the Department of Coordination of Joint Educational Programs, Aziz Uzoqov. The Chinese delegation was represented by Shao Xiaobo, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Shandong Academy of Sciences, Wang Xiao, director of the Shandong Analysis and Testing Center, Wang Shanshan, deputy director of the center, and Professor Zhang Dong.

During the meeting, important issues aimed at developing bilateral scientific and technological cooperation, implementing new innovative projects and strengthening mutually beneficial ties were discussed.

In particular, such areas as exchange programs for students and researchers, the organization of joint educational programs at the master's and doctoral levels, the possibility of opening a branch of the Shandong Academy of Sciences in Tashkent, and the organization of joint research aimed at solving modern industrial and technological problems were considered.

In particular, it was proposed to establish a branch of the Shandong Analysis and Testing Center in the territory of the technopark in the city of Jizzakh. This branch specializes in express analysis of products and raw material research, and will serve regional industrial and scientific and technological development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reached a number of agreements on the development of cooperation. Such international ties create an important foundation for strengthening scientific cooperation between the two countries, adapting education and technologies to the globalization process, and training highly qualified specialists.
