Our institute's professors and teachers got acquainted with the sights of Konya.
A group of professors and teachers of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology visited Konya, one of the ancient and cultural centers of Turkey, and got acquainted with the historical, cultural and scientific sights of the city.
During the visit, the delegation members first of all visited the Mevlana Museum, where the mausoleum of the world-famous Sufi poet and mystic Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi is located. This sacred place left a deep impression on the guests, sharing an atmosphere of silence, contemplation and spirituality.
The professors and teachers also visited the ancient Alaaddin Hill and Mosque, Karatay Madrasa, Inju Minaret Madrasa, Çatalhöyük archaeological monument complex, where they got acquainted with the rich historical heritage of the Turkic peoples, and got acquainted with the historical churches, stone houses and beautiful nature of the ancient Greek village of Silleda near Konya.
The Konya Science and Technology Museum, one of the places that combines modern technology, also aroused great interest among the visitors. They also saw the unique natural beauty of the Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden with their own eyes and exchanged views on the importance of the environment in ecological education.
This visit allowed the professors and teachers not only to improve their cultural and spiritual level, but also to strengthen their scientific and social ties and expand international exchange of experience.
