EFFECTIVE ORGANIZATION OF INDEPENDENT EDUCATION: PROBLEM, SOLUTION AND PROSPECTS

In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-54 dated February 5, 2024 and to further improve the system of organizing independent education of students in higher educational institutions, a seminar-training was organized by the Department of Education Quality Control of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology on September 12, 2025.

This seminar-training was attended by representatives of the departments of the faculties of the institute, as well as professors and teachers who expressed interest in the mechanisms of organizing independent education of students through an announcement posted on the official website.

As part of the seminar, a master class was held by Azamatov O'tkirbek Rashidovich, senior lecturer of the department "Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Processing", on the topic "Effective Organization of Independent Education: Problems, Solutions and Prospects".

The seminar-training discussed in detail advanced approaches to the effective implementation of independent learning, modern methodologies, and innovative mechanisms used at the institute.

In particular, the following areas were discussed:

clearly defining the norms for the use of artificial intelligence and assessment criteria in the development of instructions for independent learning tasks, adherence to the principles of academic honesty;

developing practical skills and teamwork skills in students by introducing PBL (problem-based learning) tasks instead of traditional abstracts and summaries;

strengthening internal motivation by integrating the results of independent learning (Case Study, project work) into final control exams;

fully digitizing the independent learning process, modernizing interactive courses and automated testing systems;

organization of regular master classes and trainings for professors and teachers on modern pedagogical technologies, including PBL methodology and digital learning platforms (iSpring, Moodle).

At the end of the seminar-training, the participants shared their experiences in organizing independent learning of students based on the nature of their subjects, and received detailed answers to topical questions.

Effective independent learning is an important factor in quality education!
