In recent days, severe air pollution in the city of Navoi has had a negative impact on the health of the population. Therefore, a Republican working group consisting of specialists from the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, scientists and representatives of relevant organizations has been formed and has begun on-site study work.

As a result, the activities of several enterprises polluting the air in the region have been temporarily suspended. Comprehensive measures are being taken to identify sources of pollution, measure the amount of harmful emissions and eliminate them.

At the first stage of the study, the working group got acquainted with the activities of Sogda Kimyo Zavodi LLC and determined the environmental situation and the concentration of harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere using modern equipment. In the second stage, similar studies were carried out at Navoiyazot Joint-Stock Company.

It is currently expected that appropriate measures will be determined to eliminate the identified shortcomings and ensure environmental safety.
