The memory of the victims of repression was commemorated

On September 12, 2025, a literary, artistic, and spiritual and educational event dedicated to the memory of the victims of repression, who left a heavy mark on the history of our people, was held at the State Museum of Memory of the Victims of Repression under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, and the director of the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hasanov Bakhtiyor Vakhapovich, the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational work, B.N. Boborajabov, the rector's advisor responsible for ensuring the stability of the socio-spiritual environment among students, A.R. Erkayev, the famous poet Bobur Bobomurod, the dean of the faculty, deputy deans, tutors, professors, students, and representatives of a number of authorized organizations.

The event was opened by the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, B.Sh. Usmonov, and the director of the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, B.V. Hasanov. In their speeches, they spoke about the difficult trials our people have gone through, the memory of the victims of repression, and the need to appreciate our peaceful and tranquil life today. It was also emphasized that the activities of the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression and the historical evidence, documents, and exhibits stored there are a great lesson for young people.

Also during the event, the famous poet Bobir Bobomurod spoke and expressed his thoughts on the memory of the victims of repression, their courageous lives and historical lessons. In his speech, the poet emphasized that it is the sacred duty of every generation to remember our ancestors who sacrificed themselves for justice and freedom, and also read his touching poem on this topic.

Our compatriots who made a great contribution to the development of science, art and society during the repression period were remembered. It was emphasized that their invaluable lessons and spiritual heritage are of great importance for today's and future generations.

At the end of the event, students and guests visited the State Museum of Repression Victims under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the trip to the museum, they got acquainted with historical documents, photographs and personal belongings from the era of repression, gaining a deeper understanding of the difficult trials that our ancestors went through. This visit served to instill in young people a deeper sense of the need to preserve historical memory and appreciate our peaceful and prosperous life today.
