“Girls are the light of our future”

On October 11, International Girls’ Day, a roundtable discussion entitled “Girls are the light of our future” was held at the Faculty of Oil and Gas Technologies.

The event was opened by Gulnara Aripova, the chairwoman of the institute’s women’s committee, who spoke about the work being done to increase the role of girls in education and science, and their active participation in public life.

The roundtable discussion was attended by Z. Tokhirova, deputy khokim of Shaykhontohur district for women’s issues, and Umida Anvarovna, a psychotherapist and therapist, associate professor. They exchanged views on the role of modern girls in social life, issues of self-confidence and spiritual maturity.

Z. Tokhirova spoke about her successes and difficulties in her work and shared her life experiences with students. Umida Anvarovna conducted psychological training aimed at developing leadership skills for female students.

During the event, female students expressed their opinions and suggestions, and guests gave motivational advice based on their own experiences.

The conversation was held in a warm and sincere spirit, ending with thoughts encouraging the girls to be more active and fully demonstrate their potential.
