Startup project competition held at Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology
On December 4, 2025, the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Agency for Innovative Development and the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, held a startup project competition “SCO - A Field of Creative Ideas and Initiatives of the Future”.
The event was attended by the leadership of the institute headed by the rector of the institute, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, advisor to the chairman of the board of Uzkimyosanoat JSC, Abdurakhmanova Sanobar Makhammadaminovna, head of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, Sobirov Qobuljon Qosimovich, Shukurov Samandar Shavkat oglu and Islamjon Bakhromov Rustam oglu from the Agency for Innovative Development, international scientists, diplomats, professors and teachers, and talented students.
This competition serves to support innovative ideas of young people, develop the startup ecosystem, and expand scientific cooperation within the SCO space.
The opening ceremony of the startup project competition “SCO – A Space for Creative Ideas and Initiatives of the Future” held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology began with an introductory speech by the rector of the institute, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich.
In his speech, the rector expressed his opinion on the importance of the competition, supporting the innovative thinking of young people and further strengthening their scientific potential.
Also, the head of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, Sobirov Qobuljon Qosimovich, spoke and wished all participants good luck and high results.
He noted that this competition serves to develop creative thinking among young people and strengthen international cooperation.
Students presented their startup projects
At the next part of the startup project competition "SCO - A Space for Creative Ideas and Initiatives of the Future" held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, talented students studying at various technical universities took to the stage and presented their startup projects.
Participants presented their innovative ideas in relevant areas such as new technologies for the construction industry, solutions based on artificial intelligence, creating environmentally friendly products, waste recycling, smart systems, and increasing efficiency in agriculture, based on a 5-7-minute regulation.
These presentations served as an important platform for young people to demonstrate their scientific and creative potential, exchange ideas with international experts, and find their place in the startup ecosystem.

The winners of the startup project competition “SCO – the arena of creative ideas and initiatives of the future” were awarded.
According to the results of the competition,
1st place went to Inoyatova Halima, a student of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering;
2nd place to Isroilova Nilufar, a student of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology;
3rd place to Abdukarimov Kamoliddinlar, a student of the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
Also, students of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology Sarimsakov Javohir and Mirobitov Mirtora, and a student of the Tashkent State Agrarian University Khamrayeva Navroza were recognized as winners in 3 nominations.
The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts from the Director of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan and the Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
Such events are held in our country to develop creative thinking, attract young people to innovations, and strengthen international cooperation.
The creative economy undoubtedly serves as an important tool in the economic and cultural development of our country.

At the end of the startup project competition "SCO - A Space for Creative Ideas and Initiatives of the Future" held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, a group of partners who made a worthy contribution to the effective organization and implementation of the event were awarded certificates of appreciation from the rector of the institute.
Through the certificates of appreciation, their active participation in the development of the scientific and innovative environment, support for the creative ideas of young people, and expansion of international cooperation was especially recognized.
This recognition serves to further strengthen cooperation between the organizers of the competition and partners.
