On May 17-18, 2024, the republican scientific-practical conference "Practical problems of mechanics and mathematics" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of Safarov Ismail Ibrahimovich, doctor of physics and mathematics, professor, was held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology. It was attended by the leadership of the institute, academicians of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, experts, professors and teachers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.

The Rector of our institute Usmanov Botir Shukurillaevich opened the conference with an introduction and congratulated Professor I. Safarov on his 70th anniversary. In this conference, the fundamental problems of mechanics, mathematics and physics; Use of programming support in teaching natural sciences; Use of foreign experiences in teaching natural sciences; Problems of using advanced pedagogical technologies in teaching natural sciences; The problems of the use of mathematical modeling in the study of technological processes, the researches conducted in promising directions and the current state of the work of practical importance were considered.
