On May 20-25, 2024, the international scientific week "Sustainable development and green economy" will be held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology. Today, May 21, the opening ceremony of the scientific week was held. It was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations Kungirotboy Sharipov, Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology Usmanov Botir Shukurillaevich, the leadership of the institute, foreign partners, professors, teachers and students.
The scientific week was opened by the Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmanov Botir Shukurillaevich, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongirotboy Sharipov, congratulated the participants and wished success to the conference.
The purpose of holding the International Scientific Week "Sustainable Development and Green Economy" is to ensure the implementation of a number of important tasks of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution No. 70 of the Sustainable Development Summit of September 2015, to ensure consistency of work in this regard. is to organize systematic work on Implementation of the goals and objectives of sustainable development in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 841 of October 20, 2018 "On measures for the implementation of national goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development until 2030". In order to implement the tasks of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-4805 dated August 12, 2020, to widely celebrate the events "2024 Year of Supporting Youth and Entrepreneurship" in the republic. The decision "On measures to improve the quality of continuing education and science in chemistry and biology", as well as organizing international events aimed at increasing the interest of students in technical fields, popularizing fundamental sciences and developing international cooperation in scientific fields development is the development of scientific research works in the field of chemistry, biology and chemical technology.
During the ceremony, partner universities and heads of organizations of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and representatives of international organizations congratulated the participants of the conference and wished them success in the activities of the international scientific week.
The opening ceremony of the "Physico-chemical analysis and nanomaterials laboratory" of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology was held.
In order to ensure the implementation of the decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on nanotechnology, with the support of the Science Financing and Innovation Support Fund and the Innovation Development Agency, the transmission electron microscope of the US company Thermo Fisher Scientific, worth 1.2 million euros, was purchased from the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology. It was brought to the "Physico-chemical analysis and nanomaterials laboratory".
Today, within the international scientific week "Sustainable development and green economy", the opening ceremony of the "Physico-chemical analysis and nanomaterials laboratory" of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology was held. The new laboratory was ceremonially opened by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kungirotboy Sharipov.
This equipment is the most modern equipment in the field of materials science and nanotechnology, and it performs the following tasks:
— studying and researching the morphology of nanoparticles;
— Determination of elemental composition;
— Determination of crystal structure-diffraction;
— determining the location of atoms and their composition;
— enables research to improve hardness, corrosion resistance, temperature resistance and other properties of the material depending on these properties.
The purpose of bringing this transmission electron microscope is to train young professionals in the field of nanotechnology and create new materials in the field of materials science and nanotechnology.
