International Scientific Week “Sustainable Development and Green Economy” has begun at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology

The International Scientific Week “Sustainable Development and Green Economy” will be held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology from May 27 to 31, 2025. Today, May 28, the opening ceremony of this scientific week was held in a solemn manner.

The symbolic flag of the International Scientific Week was raised at the ceremony, and the event was officially launched.

More than 400 participants from academia, industry and government organizations are participating in this prestigious event.

The scientific week, which is being held for the third time, is being held within the framework of the main theme set for this year - “Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy”.

The event was organized jointly with major partner organizations such as the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Materials Science of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Integral University (India), South Kazakhstan Scientific University named after Mukhtar Auezov, as well as Uzkimyosanoat JSC and the Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari Association.

The scientific week was opened by the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, with an introductory speech.

The purpose of holding the international scientific week "Sustainable Development and Green Economy" is to ensure the implementation of a number of important tasks of Resolution No. 70 of the United Nations General Assembly Summit on Sustainable Development in September 2015, and to organize systematic work to ensure consistency in this regard. Implementation of sustainable development goals and objectives in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 20, 2018 No. 841 “On measures to implement national goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development until 2030”. In order to implement the tasks of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 12, 2020 No. PQ-4805, the republic is widely celebrating the events of the “2024th Anniversary of Support for Youth and Entrepreneurship”. The Resolution “On measures to improve the quality of continuing education and science in chemistry and biology”, as well as the organization of international events aimed at increasing students' interest in technical areas, popularizing fundamental sciences and developing international cooperation in scientific fields - the development of scientific research in the field of chemistry, biology and chemical technology.

The opening ceremony of the International Scientific Week "Sustainable Development and Green Economy" held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology began with solemn official speeches. In particular, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, "Uzkimyosanoat" JSC, "Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari" Association and other organizations spoke, highlighting the relevance of the scientific week and its strategic importance in the field of education and innovation.

The opening ceremony of the International Scientific Week "Sustainable Development and Green Economy" has come to an end, and a coffee break and a photo session were organized for the participants. The coffee break was, of course, a great opportunity to exchange views on scientific topics and continue informal discussions.

The IV International Scientific and Technical Conference “Innovative Technologies for the Production of Glass, Ceramics and Binding Materials – 2025” has begun

On May 28-29, 2025, as part of the International Scientific Week “Sustainable Development and Green Economy” held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, the opening ceremony of the IV International Scientific and Technical Conference “Innovative Technologies for the Production of Glass, Ceramics and Binding Materials – 2025”, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Abdulla Ismatov, was held.

During the event, a video dedicated to the life and scientific activities of Professor Abdulla Ismatov was shown. Also, close colleagues, students and friends of the professor spoke, recalling the incomparable services of the teacher scientist in the field of chemistry, his human qualities and contribution to science.

The latest innovative developments in the field of glass, ceramics and bonding materials were discussed with the participation of local and foreign scientists at the IV International Scientific and Technical Conference "Innovative Technologies for the Production of Glass, Ceramics and Bonding Materials - 2025", organized as part of the International Scientific Week "Sustainable Development and Green Economy" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Abdulla Ismatov.

Within the framework of the International Scientific Week "Sustainable Development and Green Economy", the IV International Scientific and Technical Conference "Innovative Technologies for the Production of Glass, Ceramics and Binding Materials - 2025", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Abdulla Ismatov, successfully concluded. At the end of the conference, a tour of the research laboratories of the Department of Silicate Materials and Rare and Rare Metals Technology was organized for local and foreign specialists and guests. During the tour, the guests were provided with detailed information about the modern equipment and scientific developments of the laboratories. They also exchanged views on innovative technologies and research work. The participants of the event highly appreciated this tour and considered it an opportunity to create a basis for mutually beneficial dialogue on strengthening cooperation and implementing new projects in the field of research.
