A delegation led by D.J. Ahmed-Zaki, Rector of the M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University, visited the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.

A delegation led by the rector of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov, D.J. Ahmed-Zaki, visited the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.

On March 26, 2025, the rector of the South Kazakhstan University, Darkhan Jumakanovich Ahmed-Zaki, the vice-rector for academic affairs, Ernar Imangalievich Imangaliyev, and the head of the department for joint education and academic mobility, Hasenova Laura Aibekovna, visited the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.

The meeting was attended by the vice-rector for academic affairs, T.T. Safarov, the head of the department for internationalization and transformation, Z.A. Babakhanova, the head of the department for joint educational programs, A.Uzakov, and the head of the department for international cooperation and protocol, S.Saidakhmadova.

During the visit, issues such as the study of advanced technologies, the development of the chemical industry and the organization of joint scientific and production hackathons to support innovative ideas were considered.

Also, the issues of further development of cooperation between the two higher educational institutions, further development of cooperation in scientific research between the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and South Kazakhstan University (ZKU), joint training of master's and doctoral students, and joint organization of winter and summer schools were agreed upon and planned for implementation.

To date, as a result of mutual cooperation, more than 40 professors and teachers have improved their qualifications at both universities in 2024, and TKTI has organized a summer school and industrial practice for 45 ZKU students in Tashkent.

In 2025, a summer school and industrial practice are planned for TKTI students at South Kazakhstan University in May-June.

All students of the Faculty of Food and Wine Technology of the TKTI are invited to participate in this summer school (for application - Head of the Department of Biotechnology A.Normatov).

At the end of the meeting, the laboratories and technopark of the Faculty of Food and Wine Technologies of the Tashkent Chemical and Technological Institute were familiarized with, including detailed information about the work being carried out at the TKTI in the field of biotechnology by Professor N. Hojamshukurov.

As a result of the visit, proposals to conduct joint research and scientific projects, conduct broad cooperation within the framework of academic activities, and jointly organize scientific conferences, hackathons and forums were supported by both parties.
