Head of the Department of Doctoral Studies and Scientific Research of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology Kamolov Azizbek visited Nazarbayev University.

Head of the Department of Doctoral Studies and Scientific Research of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology Kamolov Azizbek visited Nazarbayev University as part of a business trip to Astana. The main goal of the visit was to establish scientific cooperation, reach agreements on short-term internship exchanges between professors and teachers and doctoral students.

During the visit, Kamolov Azizbek met with one of the leading scientists of Nazarbayev University, Professor Woojin Lee. During the conversation, the Carbon Dioxide Capture, Storage and Utilization (KazCCUS) project and issues of developing scientific and research cooperation in this area were discussed.

A meeting was also organized with the Head of the PhD program in the School of Digital Science and Engineering and the Head of the Astana National Laboratory, Professor Nurkhat Nuraje. The meeting discussed the possibilities of bilateral scientific cooperation, participation in doctoral programs, joint projects and academic exchange programs. At the end of the visit, Azizbek Kamolov got acquainted with the modern scientific laboratory center for the synthesis and conversion of biomass into value-added chemical compounds, headed by Professor Nurkhat Nuraje. The scientific research work carried out in this laboratory was presented in detail by University Professor Minavar Shaimardan and his doctoral student Harry Kwaku Megbenu. This visit is an important stage for bilateral cooperation and lays the foundation for future joint scientific projects.
