On September 17, 2025, an important round table discussion was organized at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology in collaboration with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Center for "People's Diplomacy". This event was held within the framework of the "New Economic Dialogue" program covering promising sectors of industry, put forward at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the SCO Tianjin Summit.

The event was opened by the rector of the institute, U.B. Shukurillayevich, with an introductory speech. He provided detailed information about the current activities of the SCO, current issues of mutual cooperation, and Uzbekistan's initiatives.

The director of the SCO Center for "People's Diplomacy" S.Q. Kasimovich, in turn, expressed his views on the emergence of the organization, the role of people's diplomacy in regional processes, and the active participation of young people in this process.

Also, the Dean of the Faculty of "Industrial Engineering and Management" of the Tashkent State Technical University, J.Sh. Kahramonovich, and the teacher of the Department of "Socio-Political Sciences" Y.H. Otaqulovich enriched the dialogue through their lectures, touching upon the prospects in industrial sectors and issues of international cooperation.

In addition to professors and teachers, the participation of active students of the institute was also of great importance at the event.

The roundtable discussion, held in collaboration with the TKTI and the SCO Center for "People's Diplomacy", was not only a source of new knowledge and experience for students, but also remained memorable for the encouragement of active participants.

The question-and-answer part was held in the form of a quiz. Of the 12 students who actively participated in it:

8 were awarded commemorative gifts,

4 were awarded a special one-time "Rector's Scholarship".

This initiative serves to more actively involve young people in scientific research, international cooperation and intellectual dialogue.

The final part of the event was of particular historical importance - a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and the SCO Center for "People's Diplomacy".

This document will serve to strengthen bilateral cooperation, develop joint scientific and educational projects, and create new opportunities for students.

This meeting provided an opportunity for TKTI students to demonstrate their potential in the international arena and paved the way for the further strengthening of the institute's role in international cooperation.
