The roundtable discussion was attended by the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, and the head of the Department of Internationalization and Transformation, Babakhanova Zebo Abdullaevna.

In addition to representatives of the University of Barcelona and the University of Lleida, about 10 rectors of state and non-state higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and representatives responsible for international cooperation participated.

The roundtable discussion was attended by the rector of the TSUU, T. Teshabayev, the rector of the Tashkent State Medical University, Sh. Baymuratov, the rector of the Tashkent University of Chemical Technology, B. Usmonov, the rector of the Tashkent International University, Jun Yong Wook, the rector of the Tashkent International University of Chemistry, K. Akhmedjanov, and the rector of the Urgench RANCH Technological University, J. Atajonov.

They proposed areas for strengthening academic cooperation and expanding scientific and innovative ties between prestigious higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Spain.

On the Spanish side, Raul Ramos Labo, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Policy at the University of Barcelona, ​​and Antoni Granollers i Saltiveri, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Lleida, expressed their readiness to implement joint scientific grant projects under the Erasmus program with higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, cooperate in the field of tourism, teach Spanish, and establish exchanges of professors, teachers, and students. During the talks, more than a dozen practical proposals were put forward and initiatives to further strengthen inter-university cooperation were considered.
