The opening ceremony of the Advanced Engineering School “Intelligent Chemical Technology Systems” of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology was held.
On December 13, 2025, the official opening ceremony of the Advanced Engineering School “Intelligent Chemical Technology Systems”, organized in cooperation with the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and “Uzkimyosanoat” JSC, was held.
It was attended by the leadership of the institute, professors and teachers, and students, led by the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich.
The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, Uzkimyosanoat JSC, Tashkent regional administration, Chirchik State Pedagogical University, the leadership of the Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark, Chirchik branch of the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, and the media.
Located on the territory of the Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark, this school aims to train modern, practice-oriented engineers and technologists for the chemical industry who meet international requirements.
The programs are designed for two years, and during the training process, students directly participate in real projects and research work at industrial enterprises.
The opening ceremony of the Advanced Engineering School “Intellectual Chemical Technology Systems” at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology began in a solemn manner.
The event was opened by the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Usmonov Botir Shukurillayevich, with an introductory speech, and he spoke about the main goals of the establishment of this engineering school.
In his speech, the rector emphasized that this engineering school will serve to train highly qualified engineering personnel for the chemical industry, meet international requirements, further strengthen the close cooperation between science and production, and create new generation chemical technologies.
It was also noted that the engineering school will function as a complex ecosystem that combines education, scientific research and innovation, becoming an important platform for providing practical solutions to urgent problems in production.
During the opening ceremony, representatives of relevant and partner organizations directly related to the industry also spoke and expressed their opinions on the importance and prospects of the new engineering school.
In particular, Yevgeny Aleksandrovich Korzhikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzkimyosanoat Joint-Stock Company, in his speech, emphasized the importance of training qualified engineering personnel in the development of the chemical industry and expressed confidence that this Advanced Engineering School would operate in harmony with the needs of the industry.
Head of the Tashkent Regional Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, Kulbekova Nasiba Zakirovna, noted that the role of such engineering schools in deepening the integration of education and science and equipping young specialists with modern knowledge and skills is incomparable.
Trusova Marina Yevgenyevna, Director of the Research Institute of Chemical and Biomedical Technologies of Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russia), emphasized that this project, implemented within the framework of international cooperation, creates broad opportunities for bilateral research, academic exchange, and joint innovative developments. Also, Mukhamedov Jasur Davronovich, Director of the Chirchik Chemical and Industrial Technopark, noted that real results can be achieved by establishing cooperation between the engineering school and industrial sites, introducing startups and practical projects into production.
The Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology held an award ceremony for professors, teachers and talented students who achieved high results in the field of education, science and innovation during 2025.
During the event, the scientific research activities of the institute team, achievements in international and republican competitions, grants, Olympiads and prestigious competitions were specially recognized. Professors and teachers who distinguished themselves with their scientific articles, innovative developments and effective pedagogical activities were awarded with certificates of honor and souvenirs.
Also, talented students who showed activity in studies, scientific research and public works and made a worthy contribution to increasing the prestige of the institute were encouraged. As part of the solemn event held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, important cooperation documents aimed at further strengthening the integration of education, science and production were signed.
In particular, the institute signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the field of personnel training with the Chirchik Chemical Quality enterprise, the EASY 860 enterprise, Bionovatic Agro JV, Rhodium Polymer JV LLC, and the Chirchik chemical and industrial technopark. These agreements provide for the development of modern curricula and science programs, the establishment of dual education, the organization of production and undergraduate internships for students, as well as the joint implementation of research and innovation projects.
In addition, the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of education and research with the Chirchik branch of the South Kazakhstan University of the Republic of Kazakhstan (named after M. Auezov). This document is aimed at the exchange of professors, teachers and students, joint educational programs, scientific research, the organization of conferences and seminars, and the development of academic mobility. The signed memorandums were one of the important steps of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology towards strengthening close ties with industry and international partners, developing practice-oriented education, and training specialists with competitive, modern knowledge and skills.
As part of the opening ceremony of the Advanced Engineering School “Intellectual Chemical Technology Systems”, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held and the school officially began its activities.
The opening ceremony was attended by the leadership of the institute, industry experts, partner organizations and honored guests. After that, the participants of the event got acquainted with the educational and scientific laboratory rooms of the engineering school.
