International Winter School students got acquainted with the activities of TKTI specialists
On December 13, 2025, as part of the “International Winter School” program organized on the theme “Tashkent: Harmony of Cultures, Enlightenment and Education”, the students visited the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and got acquainted with the activities of the institute’s scientists and specialists.
In accordance with the program, the guests met with the Dean of the Faculty of Food and Wine Technologies, A.Normatov, and received detailed information about the departments of the faculty and ongoing scientific research. The students were especially interested in the direction of “medicinal plants”.
The scientific work carried out by professors and young researchers on the chemical analysis and processing of medicinal plants was presented. Also, a scientific conversation was held with the professor of the department of “biotechnology” of TKTI N.A. Khojamshukurov on this topic and familiarization with the laboratory activities.
At the end of the meeting, the participants of the “international winter school” reached an agreement with the dean of the faculty A. Normatov and professor N.A. Khojamshukurov on the development of scientific projects and conducting scientific research. Young scientists of the department organized an introductory session to the scientific laboratory for master's students of Osh State University.
Also, English language specialists of the participants of the “international winter school” visited the department of “Languages” of TKTI and exchanged views on effective educational technologies used in teaching science programs and foreign languages.
Senior lecturer of the department M. Jumaniyozova made a presentation on the topic “ESP in technical universities”. Associate Professor R.U. Torejanova introduced the participants to the national culture with her lecture on the topic “The role of Karakalpak culture in the multinational culture of Uzbekistan”.
In turn, a number of scientific and educational lectures were given by teachers of the philology department of Osh State University as “guest speakers”.
In the afternoon, the participants of the “international winter school” visited the sights of Tashkent.
