International Scientific and Practical Conference: “State Policy Based on Strengthening the Family in Turkey and Uzbekistan”
On May 30-31, 2025, an international scientific and practical conference on the topic “State Policy Based on Strengthening the Family in Turkey and Uzbekistan” was held at the conference hall of Istanbul Commercial University in Istanbul, at the initiative of the Uzbekistan Society for the Protection of Women's Rights.
This conference was organized at a high level in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Family and Gender” Research Institute under the Family and Women's Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey, Istanbul Commercial University, KADEM (Women and Democracy Society) and the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The event exchanged views on family policy, gender equality, women's rights, and best practices and practical approaches to strengthening the family institution in the two countries. The conference included presentations and discussions on topical issues with the participation of relevant government bodies, research institutions, non-governmental non-profit organizations, and experts. Gulnara Aripova, Advisor to the Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology on Women's Issues, also participated in this prestigious conference and exchanged views on the work being done on women's issues on behalf of the institute.
On the second day of the conference, visiting advisors to the rector from higher education institutions, in particular Gulnara Aripova, advisor to the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology on women's issues, made a presentation on the activities of the institute's Women's System and the reforms being carried out in this area.
