Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-381 of June 20, 2006 "On the organization of providing the population of the Republic with an information library" 2006 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan 295 dated December 29 and the order No. 51 dated March 1, 2007 of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology "On the organization of information resource centers" was named an information resource center.

The information-resource center is regularly updated, provides scientific processes with information, is a place for obtaining information, studying, independent work and creativity. The importance of the library in forming the educational and moral values  of the users and increasing their intellectual potential is incomparable.

The Information Resource Center consists of 5 departments:

1. Scientific-methodical and information-information (periodical publications department);
2. Information library resources collection, cataloging and systematization department;
3. Information-library resources service department;
4. Electronic information resources department head;
5. Department of working with foreign information-library resources
